To file, visit www.insurance.ca.gov.

2. Do I register for the exam myself or does Quick Learning School do that for me?
Filing the application can be a lengthy process so students
register for the exam on their own at their convenience. However,
if you need assistance with filing for the application and/or
selecting an exam date, Quick Learning School staff is available
to help.
3. Can I register for the test while I am taking the courses?
Quick Learning School advises students to wait until they have
either completed the course or are near completion before registering
for the exam. Although we do not recommend it, you are still allowed
register for the exam prior to completing the courses. Please
note, however, that if you schedule your exam and do not finish
the class before your scheduled exam date - there is a $41.00
exam rescheduling fee required by the Department of Insurance.
4. Do I have to take Code & Ethics if I have already taken it?
If you have already taken the 12hr Code & Ethics pre-licensing
course, you do not have to repeat it.

again right away. You can schedule this with the Department of
Insurance. If you do not pass it the second time, you must wait
30 days before you can take the exam again. Please note that a
no-show for a scheduled exam is considered a fail.
6. What happens if I miss a module?
We understand that life happens. If you miss a module, you can
make it up when it is offered at any of our locations. It is the
student's responsibility to inform the office staff of the dates
and times you plan to make up missed modules.
7. What if I do not have sponsoring company?
If you do not have a sponsoring company at the time of registration, we can refer to you
a company. Please note that we will NOT make any referrals if you registered with a company.
We do not guarantee employment with any referred company.
8. What are the binders?
Quick Learning School offers binder study to all enrolled students. These
binders contain practice questions and answers for Life & Health, Fire & Casualty, and Code
& Ethics and may be checked out for use in our study facilities. The binders may not leave our
facility at any time and may only be used when the office is open and when there is an office
staff member present to check the binders out.
9. How do I pass the exam the first time?
We firmly believe that there are several steps in successfully passing the exam the first time.
- Attitude. Be confident and positive. If you are negative and
continue to believe that you will not pass, then you will not
pass the exam! Stay positive and speak as though you have successfully
accomplished it already!
- STUDY STUDY STUDY! If you are using practice questions, we
recommend that you highlight the correct answer and read the
question with the correct answer the first time. This method
will help you remember the correct answer when you are taking
the state exam. This method also helps to mitigate any confusion
during the exam.
- Take the exam sooner rather than later. We recommend that
you schedule your exam within two weeks of completing the course;
this ensures the most retention of the material.
- Breathe, take it easy, and do not dwell too much on the answer
you selected.
